The principle of operation of Drip Assist made by iconic HARIO and 2013 World Barista Champion Pete Licata resembles a coffee maker spray head: it allows you to evenly disperse water over the surface of ground coffee. It is a simple and convenient way to pour water as efficiently as possible. “This is my way to create a consistently high-quality cup of coffee,” said Pete Licata about Drip Assist.
Method of making coffee with Drip Assist:
- The accessory is installed on the legendary HARIO pour-over (or other coffee utensils of the corresponding diameter).
- Pour hot water from the kettle in turns into the central part and the outer ring. It will flow to the central holes from there.
- As a result, the water is distributed in a circle and small drops drizzle on the ground coffee.
No matter what dishes are used to pour water, you can use a traditional kettle with a narrow spout or an electric one.
Features:
- Drip-Assist has holes of two different sizes so you can adjust the pouring speed;
- Pour water first into the central part and then into the outer ring or vice versa. Thus, you can experiment with the brewing method.
- Fiberglass is transparent, lightweight, and durable, so the accessory is convenient for use.
Helpful tip: Pour water by pulsating movements and several attempts, so the pour-over process is most effective.
